The City of Johannesburg seeks an Executive Secretary to provide administrative support to the Director's Office. This role involves managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12/NQF level 5 qualification in Secretarial Studies, 3-5 years’ experience, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • The role involves administrative support functions, scheduling, and planning events, maintaining the Office of the Secretary to Council's correspondence and recordkeeping system, and performing tasks related to administration, secretarial support, and reception
  • Key competencies include stress management, time management, high confidentiality, organizational skills, teamwork, and accountability
  • Core competencies include professionalism, sound judgement, independent work, multi-skilling, and a focus on quality

Qualifications

  • Grade 12/NQF level 5 in Secretarial, Office Administration, or Public Relations 3-5 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant Proficiency in MS Office
